A safe place to stay

Somewhere safe to land. No explaining required.

Not everyone who needs a room is a senior, and not every hard season looks the same. Whoever you are, if you need a steady place to live, we would like to hear from you.

“Where Care Feels Like Family”

A quiet, sunlit living room with a linen sofa, soft sky-blue cushions, hydrangeas on a side table, and sheer curtains at the window.
A freshly made bed with a pale blue quilt, a wooden nightstand with a lamp, and an armchair by a window in warm morning light.

Who this is for

Three doors, and they all lead to the same house.

01

An affordable room to rent

A clean, comfortable room in a home where the lights are on and someone else is around. Private and shared rooms, and a rent you can actually manage. Meals, laundry, and a hand with daily life are there if you want them, and nobody will push them on you.

02

A safe place to start again

If home is no longer a safe place to be, there is somewhere quiet to come while you work out what happens next. Come as you are. You will not be asked to explain yourself at the door, and nothing will be decided for you or about you without you in the room.

03

Young people in or leaving foster care

If you are in foster care, or you have recently aged out of it, and you need a stable place to live and support as you start out on your own, we would like to hear from you. There is room here to be nineteen and still figuring it out — that is what your twenties are for.

What staying here is like

Dignity and privacy, as a rule and not a slogan.

Every resident is treated with dignity and privacy. What you tell us stays between us, and every inquiry is handled quietly, and without judgment.

Your own space, and a door that closes

A room you can furnish with your own things, in a home that is quiet at night. Where you keep your business is your business.

Company, at whatever distance you choose

A table to eat at, a porch to sit on, and people around if you feel like talking. Plenty of residents keep to themselves, and that is a perfectly good way to live here.

Someone steady to talk to

Not a caseworker and not a form. Someone who answers the phone, knows your name, and will sit down with you when a decision needs making.

Private pay, plainly explained

Private pay is accepted here, and we keep it affordable. Ask what a room comes to and what it includes, and you will get a straight answer in a private conversation — before you commit to anything.

Asking is the whole first step

Call and say as much or as little as you like. If we have a room that fits, we will tell you. If we do not, we will say that too, and help you think about where else to look. There is no charge for the conversation, and nothing you have to sign to have it.

Rooms fill up. Add your name to our waiting list and we will call you as soon as a space opens — there is no cost to join and no obligation.

Say hello

You do not have to tell us everything.

A first name and a way to reach you is enough. Tell us what kind of room you are looking for, or just say that you need somewhere to stay, and we will take it from there.

Private pay is accepted. We will talk about cost plainly, in private, before anything is decided.

If someone is in immediate danger, please call 911 first. Then call us, and we will help with what comes after.

Ask about a room

Nothing you share here leaves Crystal Pearl.

Please do not include medical records or Social Security numbers here. We will ask for what we need, privately.

Or call (201) 560-2393

One phone call is enough to start.

Tell us what you need, and we will tell you honestly what we have — and what we would do in your position.
